MAN Cryo – MAN Energy Solutions’ marine LNG fuel-gas-system manufacturer – has announced that it will supply an LNG fuel-gas supply system to a Norwegian live-fish carrier ordered by Nordlaks, one of Norway’s largest aquaculture companies.The new vessel will be a sister to an identical vessel ordered during the summer of 2018 – again for Nordlaks – for which MAN Cryo also won the order to provide the fuel-supply system. MAN Wins Order for Battery-Hybrid Dual-Fuel System
The Damen Gorinchem Holland shipyard has ordered a hybrid-propulsion solution from MAN Energy Solutions in connection with the building of 2 × dual-fuel/hybrid RoRo ferries for Canadian outfit, Seaspan Ferries Corporation. The order covers the provision of MAN 35/44DF dual-fuel engines, fuel gas-supply systems and the main electric systems, including batteries.MAN Energy Solutions will provide the solutions in association with Aspin Kemp & Associates (AKA), in which it has a 40% stake.
AKA, MAN Collaborate for LNG-Powered Ferry
Aspin Kemp and Associates Inc. (AKA) and MAN Energy Solutions (MAN) are working together on the delivery of the propulsion package for 1+1 230-meter-long RoPax vessel for TT-Line, a German ferry operator. The vessel is to be built at Jiangsu Jingling shipyard in China. The MAN/AKA power and propulsion package includes eight MAN 51/60DF dual fuel engines, propellers and gearboxes, a fuel-gas supply system and HyProp ECO – a hybrid propulsion system. The newbuild TT-Line ferry will have the capacity for 800 passengers and over 200 articulated trucks.

MAN Energy Solutions Signs Inks Service Pact
MAN Energy Solutions, Hong Kong has signed a service agreement with Pacific Basin Shipping covering field, workshop and technical services on MAN main engines, generators and turbochargers aboard 111 dry-bulk ships.All of the vessels involved are owned by Pacific Basin and managed by its in-house technical-management team.MAN PrimeServ will manage the contract from Hong Kong in close cooperation with the PrimeServ global network that covers some 120 service hubs.

MAN Energy Solutions is acquiring 40 percent of the shares of the electrolysis technology company H-TEC SYSTEMS. A contract confirming the partial acquisition was signed in Augsburg by Dr. Uwe Lauber, CEO of MAN Energy Solutions, and Ove Petersen and Heinrich Gärtner, executive managers of the GP JOULE Group. The contract also makes provisions for a majority or complete takeover of H-TEC SYSTEMS at a later date. Large Containerhip Order for MAN ES
Eastern Pacific Shipping exercised an option connected with an order for 5 × 15,000-TEU containerships placed in November 2017, and requested another six vessels. All 11 engines involved in the order will be powered by MAN B&W-branded two-stroke engines.The first five engines will be conventional MAN B&W 11G90ME-C units equipped with scrubbers that are due for delivery between 2019-2020. Hapag-Lloyd pilot gas-conversion leads the way for emissions reduction and decarbonizationMAN Energy Solutions has signed a contract for the conversion of a 15,000 TEU container vessel to dual-fuel operation. The container vessel MV SAJIR is owned by Hapag-Lloyd, a leading liner shipping companies, and normally serves a route from Asia to northern Europe via the Suez canal. The pilot project will entail the conversion of an existing, HFO-burning MAN B&W 9S90ME-C engine to a dual-fuel MAN B&W ME-GI (-Gas Injection) prime mover capable of running on HFO and LNG.

MAN Unveils New TCT Turbocharger
