Echandia Opens Branch Office in Norway
Swedish battery systems for maritime electrification company Echandia announced its intention to expand in the Norwegian market through opening of a new branch office helmed Roy Storeng, who was recently hired to lead business development.Echandia is a developer of zero-emission energy solutions for heavy-duty maritime electrification, with customers in Europe, Asia and Oceania, including Cochin Shipyards, building the world's largest fleet of electric ferries in Kochi, India, and Damen in the Netherlands.

Twin Disc is celebrating 50 years in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. The company established Twin Disc (Pacific) Pty Ltd (TWINPAC) in 1966, triggering its global expansion to 250 distributor sales and service locations in 83 countries worldwide. During its first 15 years of operation, TWINPAC focused on land-based industrial applications and axle manufacturing. ABB to Maintain Prestige Cruise Fleet Turbochargers
ABB announced that it has signed a five-year maintenance agreement with Prestige Cruise Holdings (PCH) to provide services, parts and support for all turbochargers installed on its fleet of eight cruise ships. The contract provides global access to maintenance services for the turbochargers to ensure their continued safe and reliable operation. Prestige Cruise Holdings is the parent company of Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, which serve the upper-premium and luxury segments of the cruise industry with over 6,400 berths.

Cruise Line Adds to Wärtsilä Maintenance Agreement
Wärtsilä says that two vessels have been added to the 5-year maintenance agreement between them and US-based Prestige Cruise Holdings, Inc. (the parent company of Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises). The agreement now covers 8 vessels with a total of 35 Wärtsilä engines. According to Wärtsilä the tailor-made agreement that was signed in 2012 with Prestige is one of the most comprehensive yet for the cruise industry. The depth and scope of the agreement covers pro-active planning by both companies working in co-operation.
