LMG Marin Tapped to Support Eastern Pacific eSAIL Install

LMG Marin France reports it has secured an engineering contract with Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) for integration of bound4blue eSAILsEPS will install its first ever wind-assisted propulsion system, three 22-metrer eSAILs o,n board the 2019-built oil and chemical tanker Pacific Sentinel in Q4 this year. USCGC Nathan Bruckenthal Delivered

The U.S. Coast Guard took delivery on March 29, 2018 of the USCGC Nathan Bruckenthal, built by Bollinger Shipyards and delivered in Key West, Florida. The 154 ft. patrol craft USCGC Nathan Bruckenthal is the 28th vessel in the Coast Guard's Sentinel-class FRC program. To build the FRC, Bollinger used a proven, in-service parent craft design based on the Damen Stan Patrol Boat 4708. It has a flank speed of 28 knots, state-of-the-art command, control, communications and computer technology, and a stern launch system for the vessel’s 26 foot cutter boat.

Torqeedo Partners with Sentinel Marine Solutions and WhisperPower

Torqeedo has announced strategic agreements to integrate Sentinel Boat Monitors and WhisperPower smart power generation systems into its electric boat propulsion product offerings. The announcements were made in a press conference at the Dusseldorf International Boat Show Jan. 23. The Sentinel Boat Monitors are now fully integrated with Torqeedo’s Cruise, Travel and Ultralight electric propulsion systems. The Sentinel app allows remote monitoring of the vessel’s location and onboard systems, and provides automatic alerts of any malfunctions and alarms.

Crew Supply Vessel Delivered in Louisiana

Lady Tierney, a 205-foot monohull DP-2 crew supply vessel, has been delivered for Sea Supply, Inc., a B&J Martin Inc. subsidiary, of Galliano, Louisiana. With design expertise from Incat Crowther’s Lafayette, La. office, combined with concept design and standards from the Morgan City, La. based Halimar Shipyard and the vessel owner, the ABS-classed, USCG-certified vessel will work in the Gulf of Mexico’s deep water offshore industry. For transportation of supplies, Lady Tierney features an aft cargo deck comprising of 3,950 square feet of timber covered area with a capacity of 450 LT.

Marine Transmission Built Arctic Circle Tough

Bowhead Transport's newest addition to its fleet, M/V Unalaq, will service the Alaskan coast, north into the Beaufort Sea. Utilizing Twin Disc's MGX-5135 SC marine transmissions and EC300 Power Commander controls, the shallow-draft landing craft will bring much-needed supplies to this remote area. This includes small, isolated villages far above the Arctic Circle. Unalaq was built to function in Bowhead Transport's lighterage operations. The boat ferries cargo to and from an oceangoing barge offshore.

Bollinger Delivers Eighth FRC to USCG

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. has delivered the Charles Sexton, the eighth Fast Response Cutter (FRC) to the United States Coast Guard. The announcement was made by Bollinger President, Chris Bollinger, “We are very pleased to announce another successful on-time and on-budget FRC delivery to the U.S. Coast Guard. The Charles Sexton was delivered to the 7th Coast Guard District in Key West, Fla., and will be stationed at USCG Sector Key West. The 154-foot patrol craft Charles Sexton is the eighth vessel in the Coast Guard's Sentinel-class FRC program.

Bollinger Delivers Coast Guard FR-Cutter

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. deliver  'Paul Clark', the sixth Fast Response Cutter (FRC) for the United States Coast Guard. The announcement was made by Bollinger executive vice president of new construction, Chris Bollinger:  “We are very pleased to announce another successful on-time and on-budget FRC delivery to the Coast Guard. The Paul Clark was delivered to the 7th Coast Guard District in Key West, FL, and will be stationed at USCG Sector Miami. The 154 foot patrol craft Paul Clark is the sixth vessel in the Coast Guard's Sentinel-class FRC program.

Technology Associates: $6.1m US Coast Guard Contract

Technology Associates, Inc., a New Orleans based Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering firm signed a contract which, when options are exercised, will exceed $6.1m. The contract is with the U.S. Coast Guard and will provide engineering services to the Sentinel-class Fast Response Cutter (FRC) patrol craft Project Resident Office located at Bollinger Shipyards in Lockport, La. Sentinel Marine Orders Four ERRV's

Sentinel Marine orders four multi-role offshore support Emergency Response and Rescue Vessels ERRV’s from Nam Cheong. The new vessels will feature Dynamic Positioning systems, redundancy of propulsion and thruster systems, cargo carrying capabilities and advanced rescue and recovery equipment. Designed to work in the North Sea; one of the harshest environments in the world, particular attention has been placed on sea-keeping, crew comfort and fuel efficiency. The vessels will deliver through Q3&Q4 2014 and there are options for a further four vessels included in the contract.

Bollinger Deliver Fifth Fast Response Cutter

Sentinel Marine Sell AHTS, Order Two More

Sentinel sell new-build Anchor Handling Towing & Supply vessels AHTS 5150;  order two more AHTS from Nam Cheong Dockyard. Buyers of the AHTS 5150, Hull SK 67, have requested the details of the sale to remain private. The newly ordered AHTS vessels will be built in Fujian South East Shipyard, China, with deliveries between Q3 – Q4 2013. These AHTS vessels are based on the proven Khiam Chuan Marine design, with the added stern thruster providing improved station keeping. The company has its roots in a Company called Nomis Shipping, which was established in 1989. Based in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Coast Guard Commissions Fast Response Cutter at Port Everglades

The US Coast Guard has commissioned its second Sentinel-class cutter during a traditional ceremony at Port Everglades. The 154-foot Coast Guard Cutter Richard Etheridge is a Fast Response Cutter and will be able to deploy independently to conduct missions such as ports, waterways, and coastal security, fishery patrols, drug and illegal migrant law enforcement, search and rescue, and national defense operations along the Gulf of Mexico and throughout the Caribbean. ZF Marine transmissions in the US Coast Guard FRC vessels, the latest in a long history. ZF Marine announced their involvement with the US Coast Guard FRC project. Quantum Wins Coast Guard Ship Stability Contract

Quantum Stabilizers wont the contract for the refit and upgrade of the hydraulic stabilizer systems for the USCG’s next four WMEC 270 medium endurance cutters. After development and delivery of the first system that was installed on the USCG’s medium endurance cutter TAMPA, the option for the next four cutters was exercised. The entire contract is for all 13 vessels, the first vessel was the TAMPA and the remaining 12 vessels are split into a four year option. Quantum is also the supplier for the fin stabilizers for the FRC - Sentinel Class (Fast Response Cutters) program under construction…

The Coast Guard announced Wednesday the launch of its third Sentinel-class, Fast Response Cutter, the William Flores, at Bollinger Shipyards, Lockport, La.
