The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) announced 52 recipients of the 2016 Marine Industry Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Awards for excellence in customer satisfaction. Award recipients were acknowledged this morning during the Innovation Breakfast at the 2017 Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show in Miami. The Marine Industry CSI Awards honor boat and engine manufacturers who actively measure customer satisfaction and pursue continuous improvement to better serve their customers.

Brunswick Deliver Law Enforcement Boston Whaler

Brunswick Commercial & Government Products (BCGP) deliver a Boston Whaler 27' Vigilant patrol boat to the Ottawa County (MI) Sheriff's office. The Sheriff's office is tasked with law patrol, law enforcement, and fire suppression activities for the local river, which includes three harbors and a power plant, and to fulfill these tasks, the Sheriff's Office chose a commercially built Boston Whaler walkaround cabin model. The boat is powered by twin Yamaha engines, and includes the newest fire pump offering from BCGP, a 130 hp Mercruiser that mounts inside the cabin, leaving the deck clear.

Gold Dredging Vessel Delivered

The 50-foot vessel, designed by Anderson Associates, & built by Pacifica has been delivered for gold dredging near Nome, Alaska. Anderson Associates, a Bremerton-based multidisciplinary engineering services firm, recently completed design of a new dredge vessel for Pacifica, a Seattle-based vehicle assembler. The vessel was designed specifically to meet the unique requirements of sub-surface dredging operations in the remote coastal waters of the Bering Sea, and is powered by twin 300HP Yamaha outboards.

New Vessel To Help In Charting WA Coastline

Monitoring the constant movement of the Western Australian coastline and nearshore seabed has been made easier with the commissioning of a new vessel by the Department of Transport (DoT). DoT Manager of Spatial Information Rod Hoath said the new $329,000 hydrographic survey vessel Alec Hansen III had been custom built and featured modern electronic survey equipment capable of measuring 4000 soundings a second across a 100 metre swath. SeaArk Marine, Inc. has delivered a 30-ft Enforcer Series all-welded aluminum fire/rescue boat to the Guntersville, Ala. Fire Department. The boat features a modified vee, constant deadrise hull that produces a smooth, dry and stable ride. These characteristics were given a high priority by the Guntersville Fire Department in order to ensure required fast response times, capability for all-weather fire fighting and maneuvering on-station requirements were met. The boat is tasked for fire/rescue/recovery missions on Lake Guntersville (69,000 acre lake) and the Tennessee River.
