Rolls-Royce Naval and MTU Sales Governmental jointly exhibited naval solutions in Asia for the first time at IMDEX, Asia-Pacific's international maritime defense show in Singapore from May 19-21, 2015. In addition, Rolls-Royce Naval and MTU participated in the International Naval Engineering Conference (INEC) as speakers and serve on the technical program committee on May 21, 2015, and MTU also conducted a Naval Sales Conference for partners in the Asia Pacific region.

The MTU brand is part of Rolls-Royce Power Systems within the Land & Sea division of Rolls-Royce. Together, Rolls-Royce Naval and MTU now offer a complete propulsion package from engine, monitoring and controls to propulsor.

“Rolls-Royce Naval and MTU are coming together at IMDEX to offer complete propulsion package and solutions to better address market demands,” said Knut Mueller, Vice President and Head of MTU Global Governmental Business. “This will also allow shipyards to ease system interface and integration. By adding propulsors, amongst the many other Rolls-Royce products, we offer a one stop solution for the complete propulsion system of the ship.”

Featured at the booth was the MTU Callosum, Series 1600 marine genset and scaled models of Series 4000 U83, Series 1163 and Series 8000. Rolls-Royce Naval also displayed its controllable pitch propeller.
