Scana Companies Win Marine Machinery Orders

Scana Industrier ASA - Scana Stell Björneborg say they have received recently new marine orders for a range of ship propulsion components.

Non-disclosed customers within the marine market segment have ordered complete shafts including hydraulic tubes, liners and coating systems for delivery during 2014 and 2015, say Scana.

They add that the orders will include deliveries both from Scana Steel Björneborg AB and Scana Machining AB, which both are companies within the Scana Energy business area. The total contract value is approximately 60 MSEK.

Scana Energy includes the Swedish companies Scana Steel Björneborg AB, Scana Machining AB, Scana Subsea AB, Scana Steel Söderfors AB and Scana Steel Booforge AB. The companies have a long history, and specialize in different production areas. Production takes place at Scana's own production facilities, which include melting plants, forges, rolling mills, foundries and heat treatment and machining units.
