Torqeedo Earns Eco-friendly Award
In recognition of its commitment to developing clean and innovative electric marine propulsion technology, Torqeedo was awarded the Most Eco-Friendly Marine Business of 2016 at the 21st China International Boat Show in Shanghai, the company announced. The accolade was presented by the China Boat Industry & Trade Association.
The jury said of Torqeedo, it is “thename in electric outboards.” The future-thinking company has led the marine industry in introducing market-shifting technologies and products. The virtually silent, odorless propulsion systems have exemplary carbon footprints.
Torqeedo called award a sign of its expanding worldwide influence and presence. Increasing its sales and service network, the German company recently added two regional distributors: Melbourne-based Power Equipment Pty Ltd for Australia and New Zealand; and Dubai-based Exalto Emirates LLC for the Middle East.
